About

The First Class Blogger Awards was founded in 2010. Our aim is to recognize mainstream bloggers who have great blogs and for what ever reason are largely unknown except by their readers. Although we are starting with humble beginnings, we hope to grow into a household name like Kreativ Blogger or the Versatile Blogger as well as being completely different from them.

The one thing that will differentiate First Class Award from others is there are no strings attached. No hoops to jump through. If we award your blog, your only task is to paste the award onto your site. We do not require you to answer questions nor pass the award onto others; simply paste the award onto your site.

Sites are chosen by our four three committee members. There is no special criteria to meet in order to be considered for the award. There are certain things we look for though. We don’t leave the information about receiving the award in a blog’s comment section. We email the information. So if we think your blog is deserving of our award but you have not contact information, unfortunately, we have no way of giving the award to you.

Additionally we use the information you supply on your About page to write a synopsis of your site. If there is not much information on your About page we will have to create our own decision as to what to write. Many of our recipients have not responded and it’s most likely because our email went to their spam folder. It is not a perfect system but we are not trying to promote ourselves like most awards do. The important thing is not leaving comments on your blog, it’s promoting your first class blog!

Our members adhere to the old saying, “I don’t know art, but I know what I like.” Well, we aren’t experts in any field but we do know great blogs when we see them.  We know what we like.

Although you don’t have to pass this award on, if you know of a great blog and would like to nominate the site, please leave a comment and we will most definitely check the site out. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Well, I’m here because you picked Heather’s and Cherlyn’s blogs and I read them and wondered. I have to say what fine choices. Good job. You’re idea certainly works. I know what I like too and agree. Good luck building your effort in 2011. A worthy effort.

This is such a great idea. I’ve seen other awards around on websites and blogs but they seem more like popularity contests. This is good.

Well then, that’s a really great compliment. I’d love for my work to speak to all kinds of people, from all over the world. Your recognition helps. Thanks so much for the award.

Maybe you should make First class awards for different fields, poetry, photography, cooking, humor … that’s just an idea ..
